Suno is a new line formed in 2008 that is getting a ton of attention. This line was started after designer Max Osterweis visited Kenya. The designs and development for Suno are created in NYC, but the clothing is produced by Kenyans. In a politicly unstable country, Suno helps employ local Kenyan talent, treats their workers fairly, and showcases their artistry. Suno’s first collection was inspired by East African and downtown New York women. Who wouldn’t want to wear these fabulous prints!?
