Bibhu Mohapatra caught my eye when I was browsing through fall/winter ’09 fashion shows. His debut collection was one of my favorites! Mohapatra is from India and after graduating from a university there, he earned his masters in the USA. He then pursued his fashion dreams by attending and graduating FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC. After years of working at Halston and J. Mendel under Giles Mendel, Mohapatra created his own line. Each dress in his collection-wheteher a cocktail or evening dress is so beautiful. Great fabrics, colors, draping, and shapes. My favorite dress is the green one with the blue piping.
