"Palin supporters struggle to explain why they support her"

At an Ohio book signing, Palin supporters struggle to explain why they support her. This is very funny but also kind of sad. I do realize that I'm sure there are tons of people who can't explain why they support Obama either. But there were some things said in this interview that just truly blew my mind. I realize that not all Americans are involved enough in politics to be able to name or describe specific policies, but when people can't answer questions like "What differences would you like to see her (Palin) make?" or "What are some issues of hers you agree with?", I get a little confused.

This was one of my favorite conversations:
"Barack Obama wrote two books describing in detail exactly what he is going to do."
"And what did those books describe?"
"Oh, well you know, his Marxism, Leninism, you know, Socialism".

And then there is always the classic "I don't even think he is an American citizen".

Jeremiah Ketner

Jeremiah Ketner is a Chicago painter. "His Japanese pop art influenced imagery tends to describe a more casual and carefree side of life". I saw his artwork at the Melanee Cooper Gallery (I took the first 4 images in this post there) and it is all very large, colorful, and fun to look at. Ketner used to paint small little creatures but now he is doing more realistic women in lush landscapes. I'm facebook friends with him and according to his status updates, he always seems to be painting!

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton spring 2009 was HOT! Marc Jacobs tied together tribal African looks with Parisian glamor. Each outfit is made of so many different patterns, fabrics, and accessories and the shoes from this collection have been all over the magazines. I would wear any of the bags, shoes, jewelry or outfits from this collection!

Christian Cota

Mexican born Christian Cota showed his debut collection at the fall 2009 fashion week. Even though Cota uses mostly dark colors, his shapes, cuts, and fabrics make his outfits all so unique. All of the outfits seem wearable and also fun to wear. Check him out!

Marina Terauds

Marina Terauds is a Latvian print-maker who uses techniques such as etching, mezzotint, aquatint, and drypoint. She has a degree in art pedagogy and a masters in printmaking. All of her techniques have been used for over 400 years. Teraud's often creates printings of mythological creatures like fairies, mermaids, and angels. Nature, mysticism, and spirituality are also huge themes. I've always a fan of fantasy and nature! I saw Teraud's art in person at Highland Park's famous Port Clinton Art Fair.
